The US administration opened an online portal Monday to enable companies to reclaim billions of dollars in customs duties imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act. This move follows a February 2026 Supreme Court ruling that declared these tariffs unconstitutional and an overreach of congressional authority. The first phase of refunds covers approximately 56,000 importers, totaling $127 billion, with expectations that total amounts, including legal interest, will later exceed $166 billion.
