Tehran urges Baghdad to resolve flight restrictions file urgently

The Iranian embassy in Baghdad urged the Iraqi government on Thursday to make an immediate decision regarding recent flight restrictions, considering that they hinder the movement of visitors, academics, and patients. The embassy explained via X platform that bilateral relations are based on deep ties and common interests, stressing that the latest restrictions impede the movement of these groups. It added that what is expected from Baghdad as an independent government on sovereignty day is immediate action to protect these historical relations from provocations and the repercussions of US sanctions.
