Mohammed Jafar Qaempanah, Assistant to the Iranian President for Executive Affairs, announced Saturday that approximately $25 billion of Iran's frozen assets are set for full, phased release, following Iranian-American understandings. The Iranian official clarified that these funds will be directed towards supporting and developing Iran's infrastructure, encompassing projects for roads, passages, and airports. He noted that an Iranian negotiating delegation visited Qatar to finalize the mechanisms for this asset release. Qaempanah further stated that easing tensions and reducing military escalation risks would positively affect the Iranian economy and alleviate citizen pressures. He confirmed these resources would be channeled into development projects across the nation as part of a comprehensive reconstruction plan.
