Tehran affirms strategic partnership with Moscow and rejects military solutions
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stressed on Monday the strategic nature of his country relations with Russia, pointing to ongoing consultation and cooperation between the two sides on regional and international issues. Araghchi stated, following his meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov, that the talks were fruitful and important, affirming that economic cooperation between Tehran and Moscow is proceeding well without facing obstacles. He added that both sides discussed developments in Yemen, Lebanon, Palestine, and Afghanistan, stressing that regional crises cannot be resolved militarily, but rather through diplomatic paths. Araghchi accused the United States and Israel of causing insecurity in the region, considering that aggression against Iran and the economic blockade are two main reasons for instability.
