Tasnim Israel behind drone attack UAE instigate it against Iran
An informed military source told "Tasnim" agency that the recent attack targeting the UAE with drones was carried out by Israel, in an attempt to "instigate Abu Dhabi to play a more negative role in the region."
The source explained that the plan was to charge the UAE against Iran and other Islamic countries.
The UAE Ministry of Defense had announced two days ago, on May 17, that the country's air defense systems intercepted three drones that entered UAE airspace coming from the western borders, where two of them were successfully destroyed, while the third hit an electricity generator outside the inner area of the Barakah nuclear power plant in the Al Dhafra region.
The UAE Ministry of Defense did not mention, for the first time during the past few weeks, that these drones entered the country coming from Iran.
The military source explained that Israel stands behind this attack, noting that the UAE carried out various hostile acts during the past three months, and that Iran announced its measures in response to that, but some attacks that targeted the UAE were carried out by Israel itself.
He stressed that Iran is not hostile to any country in the region, but rather believes that the region's countries are capable of ensuring the security of this strategic region and investing its rich resources to achieve the welfare of their peoples.
