Shammari Discusses Post-Coalition Future Cooperation with British, Turkish Envoys
General First Lieutenant Abdul Amir al-Shammari, Director of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, affirmed that September 30th marks the definitive date for the conclusion of the International Coalition forces' mission in Iraq. This announcement came during his separate meetings at his office with the Charge d'Affaires of the British Embassy and the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Iraq, where developments in cooperation between Iraq and the two friendly nations were reviewed. The meetings discussed various topics of mutual interest, emphasizing the transition to a new phase of relations and cooperation. Al-Shammari clarified that this phase would be built on the foundations of mutual interests and reciprocal respect, in line with Iraq's vision for forging balanced relationships with all countries worldwide and consolidating regional security and stability.
