Senior Iranian Official: Region Underestimated Our Strike Capabilities, Warned of New Regional War
Senior Iranian official Abbas Araqchi affirmed that countries in the region have not yet fully grasped Iran's capacity to execute strikes without the opposing side being able to retaliate effectively. Recounting a personal experience, Araqchi revealed receiving a call during the dawn of the third day of a past conflict from a foreign minister of a regional state. The minister reportedly informed him of their intention to target an Iranian point early that morning, cautioning against retaliation to conclude the matter. In response, Araqchi stated he warned that if Iran were targeted, war would erupt between the two parties. He clarified that while a war with the United States and Israel had a different calculus, conflict with that specific country would also commence.
