Iraqi security authorities announced Saturday the arrest of seven individuals on various criminal and security charges across Diyala and Nineveh provinces. The National Security Service, via its official spokesperson Arshad Al-Hakim, detailed these operations. In Diyala province, Service detachments, acting on intelligence and judicial warrants, apprehended five suspects. Arrests included two engaged in arms trafficking and one promoting the banned Ba'ath Party under Article 9 of its prohibition law. A suspect was also caught delivering a bank card with fraudulent data, and another involved in selling government license plates; five plates were seized from him. In Nineveh, security directorate detachments arrested two persons who fired shots from their vehicle in Mosul amidst a family gathering, causing public alarm and threatening social order. All arrestees and confiscated items have been referred to the competent judicial authorities for necessary legal action.
