Israeli defense companies have covertly supplied advanced military systems worth hundreds of millions of dollars to Qatar and Saudi Arabia, despite the absence of formal diplomatic relations between the parties. Relevant documents and images indicate that Qatar acquired C-MUSIC air defense systems from Elbit, designed for VIP aircraft, including those used by the country's Amir. Both Qatar and Saudi Arabia also received Israeli-made components, combat helmets, and night vision systems for their F-15 fighter jets, under contracts signed with the American company Boeing. Elbit Systems and Israel Aerospace Industries have indirectly participated in several military projects within both Qatar and Saudi Arabia. The C-MUSIC missile defense system, developed by Elbit, has been integrated into three special aircraft utilized by the Amir of Qatar. One of these aircraft, equipped with the system capable of detecting infrared-guided missiles and neutralizing them with a laser, was reportedly used by the Qatari Amir during his visit to Tehran last year. Israeli companies also participated as subcontractors in Qatar's F-15 fighter jet program, which is led by the United States. In this context, structural components, avionics equipment, night vision systems, and JHMCS target designation systems integrated into pilot helmets were provided. Qatar reportedly purchased 160 units of the JHMCS helmet-mounted target designation systems for $35 million. Furthermore, Israeli companies supplied night vision systems and hundreds of advanced pilot helmets through projects they were involved in as part of Saudi Arabia's F-15SA fighter program. In June last year, reports indicated that approval was granted for defense deals with Qatar exceeding $100 million. Earlier reports revealed that a company, including partners such as a former senior Mossad official and a retired Israeli army major general, represented Israeli defense companies like Rafael and Elbit Systems in negotiations with Qatar. This company also held discussions with Israel Aerospace Industries regarding potential deals.
