QatarEnergy Announces New Hydrocarbon Discovery Offshore Congo

QatarEnergy announced a new hydrocarbon discovery offshore Republic of the Congo.

The company holds a 15% stake in a project led by TotalEnergies.

Which owns 63.5% of the Moho license.

Partners also include Trident Energy with 21.5%.

And the national oil company of Congo with 15%.

Saad Al-Kaabi said the discovery boosts Qatar’s global presence.

He noted expansion of its international portfolio.

He expressed readiness to develop the resources with partners.

A 160-meter hydrocarbon column was discovered.

Data and samples were collected for analysis.
