 Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf confirmed today, Wednesday, April 22, 2026, the impossibility of reopening the Strait of Hormuz amid the ongoing naval blockade on his country's ports. In a post, Qalibaf stated that the ceasefire is "meaningless" if the global economy remains held hostage and blatant violations of agreements continue.
