Putin Invites Al-Zaidi to Gas Summit

Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi received an invitation today, Wednesday, from Russian President Vladimir Putin to participate in the eighth meeting of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) in Moscow. A statement issued by the Prime Minister's media office indicated that he hosted the Russian Federation's Ambassador to Iraq, Elbrus Kutrashev. During the meeting, the Ambassador delivered two written congratulatory messages from Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, in which they emphasized the importance of bilateral relations based on friendship and mutual respect. The messages also expressed aspirations to enhance and develop joint cooperation to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples and contribute to ensuring regional and international stability and security. The invitation received by the Prime Minister included his participation in the eighth meeting of heads of state and government of the GECF member countries, scheduled to be held in Moscow on October 27th.
