Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi affirmed on Tuesday the government's continued commitment to protecting Iraq's sovereignty and combating corruption. This came in a statement issued by his office, where Al-Zaidi extended his deepest congratulations to the Iraqi people and the entire Islamic nation on the occasion of the Prophet's Birthday. He expressed hope that this blessed occasion would return to Iraq and its people with goodness, security, and stability. He emphasized that celebrating the birthday of the Great Messenger Muhammad (peace be upon him) evokes the lofty values of Islam, foremost among them mercy, tolerance, justice, and brotherhood. He pointed out that these values are deeply rooted in Iraqi society, which has consistently demonstrated its ability to overcome challenges and strengthen its national unity. Al-Zaidi noted that this occasion represents a renewed opportunity to affirm the importance of solidarity and cohesion among all components of the Iraqi people, and to embed a culture of moderation and tolerance, thereby promoting social peace and protecting the country's unity. The Prime Minister reiterated his government's commitment to continuing efforts to consolidate security and stability, protect Iraq's sovereignty, strengthen state institutions, fight corruption, and support development and services pathways. He affirmed that these endeavors aim to improve citizens' living standards, preserve their dignity, and provide a better life for them. He concluded his statement by supplicating to Almighty God to protect Iraq and its people, to bestow upon the country security, peace, and prosperity, and to bring this blessed occasion back to Iraqis and all Muslims with goodness, blessings, and prosperity.
