President, Turkish Intelligence Chief Discuss Transnational Challenges and Security Cooperation
President Nizar Amedi, on Tuesday, received the Head of Turkish Intelligence, Ibrahim Kalin, and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of the Head of the National Intelligence Service, Hameed Al-Shatri, to discuss the latest regional and international developments. The meeting addressed ways to enhance security and intelligence cooperation between Iraq and Turkey, thereby safeguarding the mutual interests of both countries. President Amedi affirmed that dialogue and understanding constitute the fundamental pillar for containing crises, stressing the importance of unifying efforts to confront cross-border challenges, with the aim of preserving common security and establishing a more stable environment in the region. For his part, the Head of Turkish Intelligence reiterated his country's keenness to maintain coordination and cooperation with Iraq in all fields, and to work towards opening broader horizons for developing pathways of collaboration between the relevant institutions in both neighboring countries.
