President Condemns Targeting of Cities, Affirms Iraq Rejects Being Arena for Regional Score-Settling

President Nizar Amidi on Saturday condemned the targeting of Erbil and Sulaymaniyah, affirming that Iraq rejects being an arena for conflicts or a field for settling scores. Amidi clarified that any targeting of Iraqi territories, under any pretext, constitutes an unacceptable violation of Iraq's sovereignty and threatens the security and stability of its citizens. He further added that Iraq reiterates its commitment to relations based on mutual respect and good neighborliness, which preserves the sovereignty of states and spares the region's peoples further escalation and instability.
