President Aamedi to UK Ambassador: Stressing Sovereignty and Stability

President Nizar Aamedi on Tuesday affirmed the importance of solidifying security, stability, and respecting state sovereignty. This came during his reception of British Ambassador to Iraq, Irfan Siddiq, at Baghdad's Al-Salam Palace. Aamedi stressed Iraq's keenness to strengthen ties with the United Kingdom, fostering economic, investment, and commercial cooperation. He affirmed the importance of British expertise for development and reconstruction, urging UK companies to invest in the country. He noted the necessity of employing dialogue and diplomatic means to address crises and challenges, thus achieving international peace and security. Ambassador Siddiq, for his part, reiterated his country's desire to support Iraq, enhancing bilateral cooperation and developing relations across various fields.
