PM Zaidi Stresses Media Regulation, Protecting Iraqi Societal Values

Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi emphasized on Sunday the necessity of regulating the media environment in the country. His media office announced that Al-Zaidi met today with Baligh Mithqal Abu Kalal, Head of the Executive Body of the Media and Communications Commission. Al-Zaidi stressed the importance of organizing the media landscape, especially digital media and social media platforms, to align with Iraqi law and protect the social and value system of the Iraqi people. He highlighted the need to leverage international experiences in this field and to develop legal and technical solutions for all associated challenges. Abu Kalal, in turn, briefed the Prime Minister on the Commission's tasks, operations, and future performance in fulfilling its media and communications responsibilities.
