Prime Minister Ali Falih Al-Zaidi on Thursday directed deputy ministers of vacant portfolios to attend cabinet sessions, pending the appointment of their ministers. The Premier's media office clarified that Al-Zaidi authorized deputies of Defense, Interior, Planning, Construction, Housing, Municipalities & Public Works, Higher Education & Scientific Research, Culture, Labor & Social Affairs, Migration & Displaced Persons, and Youth & Sports to manage their ministries, excluding exclusive powers reserved for the acting minister. Al-Zaidi affirmed in the session that this measure ensures smooth ministry operations, accelerates task completion, and prevents delays in state and citizen interests, urging deputies to exert maximum effort to improve performance. Additionally, based on deputy proposals, Al-Zaidi instructed the Ministry of Construction, Housing, Municipalities & Public Works to prepare a detailed study for Baghdad's Fourth Ring Road project. He also directed the inclusion of Yazidi displaced persons in Sinjar, Nineveh, in the one million residential land plot project.
