PM Al-Zaidi Stresses National Security Role Continuity and Oversees Leadership Handover to Al-Badri

Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi affirmed on Saturday the importance of the National Security Service continuing its national duties in protecting Iraq's security and enhancing stability. Al-Zaidi oversaw the handover ceremony between the new head of the National Security Service, Bassem Mohammed Younis Al-Badri, and the former head, Abdulkareem Abd Fadhel Hussein Al-Basri. The Prime Minister reiterated the significance of the Service's ongoing national role in safeguarding the country's security and stability, commending the efforts made by Mr. Abdulkareem Al-Basri during his tenure and wishing Bassem Al-Badri success in his new responsibilities. Al-Zaidi also stressed the necessity of continued institutional work and strengthened coordination among security agencies to consolidate national security and preserve the state's supreme interests.
