PM Al-Zaidi Condemns Erbil Drone Attack, Orders Prevention of Future Incidents

Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi on Thursday condemned the attack on Erbil city in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq by unmanned aerial vehicles that penetrated its airspace. In a post on the social media platform X, Al-Zaidi emphasized the government's constitutional responsibility, strongly denouncing these heinous attempts to desperately destabilize the Iraqi people and impede their confident path towards state-building and consolidating social peace. He also indicated that specialized security agencies and formations have been directed to cooperate fully with the region's security forces to take all necessary measures to prevent the recurrence of such aggressions and to eliminate anyone who attempts to undermine the security of Iraq's noble society anywhere.
