Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi confirmed on Saturday that the broad national consensus underscores that combating corruption is not merely a government's battle, but a struggle for the entire nation. In statements, Al-Zaidi affirmed that his government is steadfastly and resolutely pursuing the corrupt, reclaiming state rights, and solidifying a state of institutions and justice. He stressed it will not retreat from this approach, regardless of challenges or mounting pressures. He expressed profound gratitude to the Iraqi people for their authentic and supportive stance towards the reform process. He also extended sincere appreciation to the Iraqi Parliament, Supreme Judicial Council, Grand Religious Authorities, Moqtada Al-Sadr (leader of the National Shiite Current), the Coordination Framework, National Political Council, Kurdistan Democratic Party, Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, all other forces and parties, security and oversight agencies, esteemed imams of mosques, authentic Iraqi tribal elders, journalists and media professionals, and all national forces that have stood alongside the government in its fight against corruption. He further indicated that this widespread national support reaffirms that fighting corruption is not solely a government's battle, but a battle for the entire nation, where everyone unites to defend public funds, the rule of law, and Iraq's future.
