The club reportedly discussed a permanent appointment, offering a substantial 13 million euro annual salary. However, Spain's "AS" newspaper quoted Guardiola's agent directly: "Pep will not coach any club or national team this season." Trabzonspor currently ranks fourth in the Turkish league with 7 points.
