Parliamentary Legal Committee Reveals New Staffing Law Amendment for Unlisted Positions

The Parliamentary Legal Committee has revealed that the proposed amendment to the Staffing Law aims to encompass job titles not included in the previous version. MP Mohammed Al-Khafaji, a member of the committee, affirmed in a press statement that the 22nd amendment to the Staffing Law will integrate grades and positions overlooked in the amendment passed during the last parliamentary session. Al-Khafaji noted that efforts are currently focused on engaging various ministries and government bodies to identify unlisted job titles within the staffing framework, paving the way for their inclusion. He further explained that the proposal seeks to rectify the omission of several roles, specifically mentioning monitors and judicial guards. He confirmed that approving this amendment will address past staffing loopholes, providing a legal framework more consistent with government needs and employee rights.
