Two female members of the Council of Representatives reported that tomorrow, Thursday, will be the date for settling the ministerial cabinet. MP Rajaa Fadhel Al-Harbi told the official newspaper that "Thursday will be the date for settling the ministerial cabinet after agreements are nearly complete," noting that "most ministries are settled, and the dispute is now limited to sovereign ministries." She added that "the government program will be voted on first, then ministers will be voted on in a single session." She explained that "regarding observations on the government program, a committee from all blocs was formed where all notes were submitted and included to be sent to the Prime Minister-designate, facilitating the program's passage," confirming that "everything is complete and all blocs have sent their candidates' names." Al-Harbi pointed out that "Basra MPs agreed it should have one or two ministers for Oil and Transport ministries, as their resources are linked to the province," noting that "25 MPs signed a request for one of these ministries to be Basra's share." For her part, MP Zainab Al-Jiashi confirmed that "Thursday's session will be the voting date," stating that "names are complete and settled by 99 percent, and there are no issues with most of them as all political blocs sent their candidates' names." She added that "the session is moving towards a resolution given the consensus achieved between political forces," noting that "the vote will include the government program and the ministerial cabinet during the same session."
