Parliamentary Committee Pursues 2027 Budget Provision for Bachelor-Educated Security and Military to Join Civilian Sector
The Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee aims to include a legal provision in the 2027 budget, enabling police and soldiers with bachelor's degrees to transfer to civilian state institutions. Committee member Ali Nahir clarified the proposal grants military and security personnel holding bachelor's degrees the right to request transfers to state ministries and agencies, with their job grades and financial allocations transferred. Concurrently, the House of Representatives will finalize the second amendment to Military Service and Retirement Law No. (3 of 2010) in its next session, after its first reading.
