Parliament Speaker Directs Hosting Government Officials to Discuss "National Service" Bill

 Parliament Speaker Haibat al-Halbousi directed the hosting of officials from the Ministries of Defense, Planning, and Finance, along with the Army Chief of Staff, to discuss the "National Service" bill. During Sunday's session, Parliament completed the first reading of the proposal submitted by the Security and Defense Committee, aimed at strengthening the Iraqi Army's capabilities and regulating mandatory service for male citizens, including medical examination procedures, deferments, exemptions, and benefits for those eligible.
