Two Chinese oil tankers, including one carrying Iraqi crude, successfully crossed the Strait of Hormuz, signaling early signs of easing in the shipping crisis.

The crossing comes days after a ceasefire between the United States and Iran, allowing limited navigation to resume through the strait, which carries around 20% of global energy supplies.

Tracking data showed the vessels "Cospearl Lake," operated by Cosco Shipping, and "He Rong Hai," each carrying about two million barrels of oil.

One tanker loaded crude from Basra, while the other carried Saudi oil, before passing through the Iranian route after weeks of delay.

This marks the first such crossing since the ceasefire, raising expectations of a gradual recovery in oil shipments.
