Oil Ministry Launches Accelerated Project to Boost Gas Processing and Supply

Iraq’s Oil Ministry launched an accelerated project to enhance gas processing and pipeline supply in Basra.

Deputy Minister Izzat Saber Ismail confirmed the project has started.

It is implemented by South Gas Company and Oil Projects Company.

The project aims to supply 55 million cubic feet of dry gas daily.

To support power generation and grid stability.

It will also add 600 tons of LPG daily and reduce gas flaring.
