North Oil Company announced increasing the discharge capacity of the K1 station to 90,000 barrels per day, confirming full readiness to receive oil shipments from Basra.

Director General Amer Khalil Ahmed said the company is boosting export capacity toward Turkey’s Ceyhan port.

He explained that the project doubled capacity from 45,000 to 90,000 barrels in cooperation with pipeline authorities.

The first batch of tankers has been dispatched toward Kirkuk for unloading at K1 station.

The oil will then be pumped through export pipelines to Ceyhan.

He noted that storage facilities are ready to receive crude from Kirkuk and Basra fields.

Work continues to increase production and export capacity.
