New Iraqi Central Bank Governor Nizar Nasser Stresses Importance of Institutional Work
Nizar Nasser, the new Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, officially assumed his duties in Baghdad. A statement issued by the Central Bank confirmed that the new governor took office alongside the former governor, Ali Mohsen Al-Allaq. Their field tour encompassed various offices and departments of the Central Bank, aiming to oversee the workflow and assess the nature of tasks and responsibilities carried out by different divisions and directorates. During his tour, Nasser emphasized the paramount importance of continuing institutional work and enhancing performance efficiency. This, he stated, would contribute effectively to achieving the Central Bank's objectives and solidifying financial and monetary stability in the country. He also commended the efforts made during the preceding period under the leadership of former Governor Ali Mohsen Al-Allaq, praising the achievements that contributed to developing the banking sector and strengthening the pillars of the national economy.
