National Security Advisor Affirms Full Readiness of Security and Military Forces for Potential Challenges
National Security Advisor Qasim Al-Abboudi affirmed on Tuesday the full readiness of military and security forces to confront potential challenges. The advisory office stated in a communiqué that the Council of National Security Agents held its twelfth session for 2026, chaired by Al-Abboudi and attended by its members. The council discussed the listed agenda items and made the necessary decisions and recommendations regarding them. The communiqué clarified that the session addressed the readiness of military and security forces and relevant entities for the preparations for the withdrawal of coalition forces, also reviewing the detailed readiness of these forces from all aspects. Al-Abboudi emphasized during the meeting the high readiness of military and security forces in dealing with potential challenges, stressing the Iraqi government's commitment to continuing its security and military plans to ensure the security, stability, and sovereignty of the country.
