Ministry of Finance Affirms Ensuring Full Treasury Rights in Settling Convicts' Dues

The Ministry of Finance affirmed Saturday that any mechanism for settling amounts owed by convicted individuals must ensure full recovery of public treasury rights, stressing judicial procedures are exclusively the judiciary's domain. Referencing a prior Supreme Judicial Council statement, the Ministry clarified its role in recovering corruption funds is limited to financial aspects and securing treasury rights. The Ministry emphasized that any approach to settling convicts' debts must guarantee complete collection of public treasury dues, and be binding and enforceable to preserve state funds and rights. It noted that legal procedures or amnesty requests submitted to courts fall under the exclusive purview of the judicial authority, exercising powers within established legal frameworks. The Ministry reiterated its commitment to cooperating with the judiciary and oversight bodies, to bolster efforts protecting public funds per law.
