The Ministry of Agriculture announced today, Saturday, that it is providing facilitation measures for the private sector to support poultry projects and increase table egg production. The ministry confirmed that local production reaches approximately 6 billion eggs annually, while the country requires 9 billion eggs to achieve self-sufficiency. The ministry's spokesperson explained that Iraq has large poultry production projects in several provinces, including projects in the two holy shrines of Hussainiya and Abbasiyah, as well as projects in Diwaniya, Anbar, and Karbala, in addition to other projects spread across the country.
