Labor Ministry Launches Social Protection Salaries

The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs announced on Thursday the disbursement of social protection salaries for September 2026. This payment covers over 2 million and 42 thousand families across Baghdad and other governorates, excluding the Kurdistan Region, with a total amount exceeding 437 billion Iraqi Dinars. Dr. Ahmed Al-Moussawi, Head of the Social Protection Authority, stated that this installment included more than 1 million and 480 thousand families headed by men, totaling over 353 billion Iraqi Dinars. Additionally, it covered more than 562 thousand families headed by women, with an amount exceeding 84 billion Iraqi Dinars. Al-Moussawi added that the Authority has completed all necessary procedures to ensure the smooth distribution of payments and the delivery of aid to eligible families, urging beneficiaries to visit accredited disbursement outlets to receive their dues.
