KRG Dispatches Technical Team to Baghdad for Salary and Budget Resolution

The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) announced Saturday it has dispatched a specialized technical team to Baghdad. The team's mission is to continue discussions regarding the salary and general budget files. Simultaneously, the KRG revealed intensive efforts and working sessions underway to control rising fuel prices and ease the financial burden on citizens. KRG spokesperson Peshawa Hawrami stated, "A technical team from Kurdistan is currently engaged in discussions and working visits in Baghdad, focused on resolving salary matters and the region's share in the federal budget." Regarding service-related issues, Hawrami affirmed, "The KRG will not allow petrol prices to continue rising and is diligently working to find fundamental solutions to curb this increase and lower prices swiftly." He added that "Prime Minister Masrour Barzani is directly overseeing this matter, stressing his commitment to achieving concrete solutions to end this crisis." The government spokesperson also detailed a series of meetings with fuel station owners and traders to address their demands and challenges, stating, "While we aim to prevent losses for station owners and traders, citizen interest remains our paramount priority." Hawrami called for national partnership, urging traders and station owners to "reduce profit margins for the public good," and confirmed the government would provide necessary facilities to ensure market stability.
