Israeli Security Council Warns Citizens Against Travel to Arab, Islamic Nations

Israel's National Security Council has issued an updated travel warning for its citizens abroad ahead of the Jewish holiday season. The council urged avoiding residence or visits in several Arab and Islamic countries. Jordan, Qatar, Egypt (including the Sinai Peninsula), and Somalia were placed by the council under Level 4 alert, the highest warning degree. Israelis were urged not to travel to these nations and to depart immediately if they are currently present there. The warnings also extended to include Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Libya, and Algeria, with a clear recommendation to avoid travel to these locations. The council further noted ongoing potential risks in countries surrounding Iran, such as Turkey, Azerbaijan, and the United Arab Emirates. These concerns were attributed to activities by entities described as linked to Tehran or its allies. The National Security Council clarified that this assessment is made amid current regional tensions and persistent threats targeting Israelis and Jews abroad. Travelers were urged to follow travel guidelines and adhere to the security agencies' evaluations.
