Iran’s IRGC announced that two Qatari LNG tankers turned back from attempting to cross the Strait of Hormuz and headed toward UAE waters.

Earlier, Bloomberg reported that the vessels were moving toward the strait in the first export attempt since the war began.

The tankers “Al-Daayen” and “Rashida” were heading east toward the Hormuz entrance near Oman after loading in late February.

They had previously paused in the Gulf amid escalating conflict and partial closure of the strait.

Data indicated “Al-Daayen” was bound for China.

No LNG tanker has crossed Hormuz since the conflict escalated.
