Iraq's Oil Ministry Inks Seismic Survey Pact for Adan Block with Chinese Firm
Iraq's Ministry of Oil announced on Thursday the signing of a contract with China's Sinopec for a seismic survey of the Adan block in Muthanna province. A Ministry statement indicated that the Oil Exploration Company oversaw the signing ceremony on Thursday for seismic survey works with Sinopec. This agreement covers the Adan 2D program in Muthanna, part of the licensing rounds (fifth supplementary and sixth rounds). The Ministry noted the contract aligns with its goals to expand seismic surveys using cutting-edge global technologies. This initiative aims to boost exploration, improve geological structure assessment, and provide essential technical data for developing fields and blocks.
