Iraqi Prime Minister Receives Libya Visit Invitation, Stresses Commitment to Strong Relations
Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi received an official invitation to visit Libya on Sunday. This came during Al-Zaidi's reception of Taher Salem Al-Baour, the Libyan National Unity Government's envoy for foreign affairs, accompanied by his delegation, according to a statement from Al-Zaidi's media office. During the meeting, Al-Zaidi received a letter from Abdul Hamid Mohammed Al-Dbeibah, head of the Libyan National Unity Government. The letter emphasized strengthening bilateral ties between Iraq and Libya and anticipated the third session of the Iraqi-Libyan Joint Committee to enhance joint cooperation for mutual benefit. The message included an invitation for Al-Zaidi to visit Libya soon to support joint Arab action and foster continuous coordination, aiming to unify stances in international forums on regional challenges. Al-Zaidi reiterated Iraq's commitment to building strong foreign relations with all partners. He stressed the government's focus on economic cooperation and integration to bolster capabilities, support sustainable development, and establish positive partnerships.
