Iraqi Prime Minister Calls Turkey Oil Transport Pact a Strategic Feat for Export Continuity

Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Falih Al-Zaydi described the oil transport agreement with Turkey as a significant strategic achievement crucial for ensuring the continuity of the nation's oil exports. Al-Zaydi stated this accord represents a vital step to enhance economic cooperation between Iraq and Turkey. The two parties today signed an agreement for transporting and loading Iraqi crude oil via the Iraqi-Turkish pipeline to Ceyhan port, with a minimum daily volume of 750,000 barrels. Iraqi and Turkish companies will commence operations. Furthermore, both governments will work towards completing a broader framework agreement covering oil, electricity, water, and other cooperative areas, aiming to strengthen common interests and support regional development and stability.
