Iraqi oil tanker crosses Hormuz Strait coordinating Iran
Iranian media reported that the tanker "Agios Fanourios 1," loaded with Iraqi oil, crossed the Strait of Hormuz in coordination with Iran, heading to Vietnam. Fars News Agency stated: "The giant oil tanker (Agios Fanourios 1) crossed the Strait of Hormuz today, Sunday, after coordination with Iran, following the designated path." It added that "the tanker, loaded with Iraqi crude oil, is currently in the Sea of Oman, heading towards Nghi Son port in Vietnam." The naval force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard had announced on May 5 that the only safe route for ships wishing to cross the Strait of Hormuz is the path previously specified by Tehran, noting that any diversion to other routes would face a decisive response. US President Donald Trump announced on April 7 the suspension of "Project Freedom," three days after its launch aimed at extracting stranded commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz, after the IRGC threatened to target any foreign armed force.
