Iraqi Judiciary Participates in Meeting of Heads of Arab Judicial Inspection Bodies in Oman

The Supreme Judicial Council participated in the 30th meeting of heads of judicial inspection bodies and agencies in Arab countries, held in Salalah, Oman. Judge Laith Jabr, head of the Judicial Oversight Authority, represented the Council. The meeting focused on developing judicial inspection bodies' performance. Discussions covered establishing controls and mechanisms for the Arab Award for Judicial Inspection Works. Iraq's Judicial Oversight Authority presented its proposals and standards for this award. Participants reviewed criteria for evaluating judges' performance to enhance judicial work quality, upholding professionalism, independence, and impartiality. They also explored AI's role in analyzing judgment quality and leveraging modern technologies for inspection and evaluation. Attendees further addressed issues supporting judicial independence and refining its mechanisms. They exchanged expertise among Arab inspection bodies, aiming to unify practices and enhance justice quality and overall judicial performance across Arab nations.
