Iraqi Electricity Minister Stresses Accelerating Project Implementation to Develop Power Sector

Iraq's Minister of Electricity, Ali Saadi Wahib, emphasized on Tuesday the importance of accelerating the implementation of projects aimed at serving the electricity sector in Iraq. This came during his reception at the ministry's headquarters of the German Chargé d'Affaires to Iraq, Hendieh Farah, to discuss prospects for joint cooperation in the field of electrical energy. A statement issued by the Ministry of Electricity clarified that the meeting highlighted the strengthening of cooperation between the two sides and the continuation of work to complete Siemens projects in the electricity sector, which supports and enhances the efficiency of the electrical system. A number of files of mutual interest were also discussed. Minister Wahib underscored the ministry's keenness to develop partnerships with reputable international companies, reiterating the importance of accelerating project implementation to serve the country's electricity sector.
