Iraqi and Saudi Foreign Ministers Affirm Necessity of Ensuring Iraqi Territory Not Used for Aggression Against Neighbors
Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein and his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, affirmed on Wednesday the imperative of ensuring Iraqi territory is not utilized as a platform for any hostile acts against neighboring countries. This assertion came during a meeting between the two ministers on the sidelines of the ministerial gathering held to support Jerusalem and its holy sites. During their discussions, regional developments were reviewed, and the depth of the fraternal relations between the two nations was emphasized. Both sides also stressed the importance of backing all efforts that promote Iraq's interests and its ties with its Arab and Islamic surroundings, thereby guaranteeing that its land and resources do not become a tool for aggression against its neighbors, and contributing to comprehensive development and stability for the peoples of the region.
