Iraq Tops Arab Tourism to Turkey in February 2026

Recent data released by Turkey’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism showed that Iraq ranked first among Arab countries in terms of the number of tourists visiting Turkey in February 2026.

According to the report, the number of Iraqi tourists reached 67,592 visitors, significantly ahead of other Arab countries.

Algeria ranked second with 20,413 tourists, followed by Saudi Arabia with 20,043, then Egypt with 14,365 visitors. Lebanon recorded 13,633 tourists, while Libya had 11,488 and Morocco 11,333, followed by Jordan with 10,092 visitors.

The number of tourists from Tunisia stood at 9,205, while Kuwait ranked last with 4,245 visitors during the same period.

These figures highlight Iraq’s position as the largest Arab tourism market for Turkey at the beginning of 2026, driven by geographic proximity, travel facilitation, and strong cultural and economic ties, making Turkey a preferred destination for Iraqi families for tourism and shopping.
