Iraq Records Rise in LPG-Powered Vehicles

The General Company for Gas Filling and Services, affiliated with the Ministry of Oil, announced on Saturday that the number of vehicles equipped with liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) systems has risen to approximately 100,000 cars. The company affirmed its ongoing efforts to further increase these figures in the upcoming period. Mahdi Al-Nouri, the company's media director, clarified in a special statement to the official news agency that the company has installed LPG systems in vehicles, with the current count of equipped cars ranging between 98,000 and 100,000. Al-Nouri added that work is proceeding at an accelerating pace, observing significant public demand from citizens eager to equip their vehicles with LPG systems. He also noted that the company provides installation services for these systems through its 26 workshops, which are distributed across various Iraqi governorates. Al-Nouri underscored that the growing interest in LPG systems reflects an increasing public awareness regarding the use of this type of fuel for vehicles, while the company continues its efforts to meet the rising demand and expand the scope of its services.
