Iraq Ranks 29th Globally and 3rd Arabically with Gold Reserves Reaching 174.6 Tons

 The World Gold Council announced today, Saturday, April 25, 2026, that Iraq has maintained its advanced position among the world's major gold holders, ranking 29th globally with reserves stabilizing at 174.6 tons. The 2026 data showed Arab leadership led by Saudi Arabia with 323.1 tons, followed by Lebanon, then Iraq in third place. These figures come as countries seek to bolster their sovereign assets to counter global economic volatility and ensure national currency stability against current financial challenges.
