Iraq Power Ministry: Cross-Border Electricity Projects Continue

Iraq’s Ministry of Electricity confirmed that strategic projects to strengthen the national grid are continuing despite current challenges.

Spokesman Ahmed Mousa said combined-cycle power plants and the LNG platform in Khor Al-Zubair are progressing as planned.

He added that cross-border electricity connections with Gulf countries, Turkey, and the second phase with Jordan are moving forward.

The ministry emphasized that these projects have not been affected by recent regional developments.

Technical teams continue to monitor progress to ensure grid stability.
