Iraq’s Ministerial Council for Economy directed the Ministry of Oil to intensify efforts to export oil and petroleum products, aiming to benefit from rising global prices.

The decision came during a session chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Fuad Hussein, where several economic issues were discussed.

Officials reviewed plans to resume oil exports from Kirkuk fields through the Iraqi-Turkish pipeline to Ceyhan, alongside land transport routes.

The council also examined proposals from shipping companies to expand exports عبر southern ports.

Additionally, it approved importing certain agricultural crops whose local season has ended to stabilize markets.
