Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei announced that Tehran and Muscat have reached an agreement regarding the coordinates of safe navigation routes in the Strait of Hormuz, confirming that the relevant international authority will be notified of the arrangement soon. Baghaei stated that both countries spared no effort, through joint consultations, to restore security to the waterway, pointing out that the talks proceeded very well. He added that the two nations also achieved an understanding on the mechanism for submitting the agreement to the competent international body, which will take place shortly. The spokesperson emphasized that maritime security in Hormuz is of paramount importance to Iran, more than any other party, while accusing the United States of causing disturbances through what he described as sabotage acts. Regarding negotiations with Washington, Baghaei stated that message exchanges between the two countries are conducted via intermediaries, and Iran's response to American proposals will be delivered in the same manner. He noted that Tehran has clarified its remarks and conditions to end the imposed war across all fronts and restore regional security to the Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz. Responding to American accusations, Baghaei said that shifting responsibility onto others cannot obscure the demands of the American and global public opinion to hold those responsible for the war accountable.
